A September 18 Cronkite News story on tribes’ concerns about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh incorrectly attributed the statement that Pascua Yaqui opposition stemmed from Kavanaugh’s “lack of understanding of tribes as a race and tribal sovereignty.” That statement was made by Pascua Yaqui Council Member Herminia Frias.
